Why are they releasing oil reserves?
Some reasons:
1. if they don't oil prices will spike
2. keep oil prices down to prevent economic collapse
3. signal that they plan on attacking Iran and there won't be oil shortages
4. there are large oil stock piles so rumors of release will bring prices down without needing to release
